CNN reporters arrive at Jordan after they were booted

#1 Postby cycloneye » Sat Mar 22, 2003 8:54 am

Nic Roberston and other people from CNN who were kicked from Iraq arrived at the Iraq/Jordan border safe.

I wonder if that expulsion was related to the coverage of the ground troops that CNN has or there were other considerations because I haved seen the same coverage at fox and msnbc.

I'm glad they got out ok. Were they the only ones kicked out or was it all western media? You can be sure that they will be back in just as soon as they can.

The CNN correspondent MAY have been expelled by the Iraqis...they have been tough on what is reported from inside Baghdad, and this guy may have, in their estimation, "crossed the line".

FoxNews has been using the services of either a Sky News correspondent or a German reporter from within Baghdad, and both of these men have said that they have "minders" close at hand to monitor what they can, or can't say...which has left a lot of questions from the New York and Washington newsrooms unanswered.
