Will Be Offline from 6/25 through ?

#1 Postby Skywatch_NC » Wed Jun 23, 2004 10:28 am

Hi Storm2KBuds, 8-)

I'll be offline from Friday 6/25 until ?...due to a move to my folks' and I's new townhouse and also my computer has been acting up on and off since the weekend of 6/13...my Dad and I think a virus must have eluded our Norton Firewall...and has caused things to go miscue from time to time. :( We'll have to take the computer to a shop for look-at and repair after we start getting settled.

So reading, television, and nature watching...yes, there's plenty of critters to entertain one in the back yard woods area, also. :D I don't play golf but enjoy watching the peeps play at the 8th hole (in the straight-away) behind our area of woods...we have a clearing that we can watch them play. :)

I'll miss ya'll immensely...sheesh I hate computer withdrawal!

Eric

PS: Chad or Marshall...since I will be away from here for an unknown period of time...and so that the Storm2K Family won't forget and wonder where I am...maybe this topic could be a 'sticky?' Thanks.

Eric - we'll miss you too! Let's just hope your time away will be brief and over before we know it. Have to ask though - "reading, television, and nature watching" - what's that again? LOL

To think we once got by without computers! Instead of reading the daily newspaper online, you sat at your kitchen table reading it. Getting ink on your hands. You watched the news for weather updates or listened to the radio. You shopped at real stores, not online. Okay, I'll stop. I can see why you're dreading computer withdrawal Eric!!!

Take care and hurry back when you can.

Mary

Mary, :)

Yes, tis very true...seems like the days of actually holding a newspaper are like the ole' pioneer days now! LOL

I'll be driving around our new area of Wakefield and exploring the area stores, restaurants, etc., w/ my Mom sometime. :)

Also, when I lived in Hamilton, OH I got some experience while volunteering at a hospital print shop/storeroom services there...and I'm thinking about going to check out a volunteer program at a nearby Wake satellite branch medical building where they have same-day surgery, dental services, etc. :) Due to my Asperger Syndrome I'm on an S1 account so at least I can volunteer some time at a business...since what I had been doing in Roanoke Rapids at a copy center (employed part-time)...is SO far away nearly an hour's drive into Raleigh and being a part time and probably only 2 - 3 days a week...w/ the way the traffic is so much of the time and the way some motorists drive...and or trying to get other transportation would be slim to where this other copy center is located in comparison to my townhouse between N. Raleigh and Wake Forest...well, that's why I'm considering a volunteer position nearer to home for me to drive to and from. :)

Eric :)
