Oh my goodness! Just heard a rumor...

I just got an email from a friend who said that she heard that all journalists who are attending the conventions in July and August should bring some sort of protection (some sort of gas mask I believe) in the event of a terrorist attack.

Can anyone validate/deny this???

Hmm.. It wouldn't surprise me.. but at the same time.. I don't know.. The conventions would definitely be a prime target

Yeah, and everyone in the security department knows this, so I don't think anything is going to succeed.

Remember, U.S. Cole, 9/11 all came as a surprise. We are much more brighter now to look for events that may potentially be terrorized.

That's defintely plausible. At the State of the Union address in January, there were oxygen masks under every seat in the event of a chemical or biological attack. They can't take any chances.

So far I haven't seen anything like that but I will look into it. I would not go near that place without my BOB. It sounds like common sense to me. Perhaps the best way to affect the election is to eliminate the competition. Keep in mind that there are many dates for attacks out there. July 11 is one and the 24 is another. Some say it will happen after the truce ends with Europe on July 14.
