We usually eat out alot more than in...my favorite eateries here in Wake County:

Rockola Cafe - N. Raleigh
Atlanta Bread - N. Raleigh
K & S Cafeteria - N. Raleigh
Johnson Farmers Market Restaurant - Youngsville (near Wake Forest and Raleigh)

Well, it could have its blessings; she's lost about 30 lbs. so far, and I'VE lost ten; coppertop is at the same slim 140 lb. level.

We quit carrying out meals years ago, after my husband's brother had a heart attack at age 35. Heart disease runs in their family so it was a healthy choice for us. And it saves us money. I should add that when we made this decision we were carrying out way too much - picking up Wendy's or McDonald's after a soccer game or practice. I just had to get in the habit of simmering entrees, using the crock pot or preparing food to easily be cooked when we got home. We eat a lot of rice, since it cooks quickly, for one example. If we do carry out, it's usually pizza. Not saying we don't, since it is a treat and sometimes we get sick of homecooked meals (I am not a great chef, by any stretch of the means!).

If I had to pick one common food in this house it would be cereal. And we always have bananas on hand (my favorite food).

If we carry out, we most often times have pizza.

The most common food in our home that isn''t carry out would have to be ... well everything. We usually have very balanced meals and we don't have the same thing time and time again usually.

We BBQ a "LOT!" 4-5x per week, usually ribs or seafood but NOW....I'm on this Sushi KICK, I started making my OWN sushi about 4 weeks ago, mainly California rolls, however, I'm doing the raw Ahai Tuna tonight! Making California Rolls are EASIER than I thought, the secret is the rice and Nori (seaweed)

Jeremy - I didn't answer your question correctly! LOL For dinner we eat the usual rice/potatoes/pasta, chicken/fish, veggies, salad.

In other words we don't eat cereal for dinner, as I originally posted. Now my kids would be happy eating cereal.....:-)

we are doing South Beach...so nothing to write home about. Lots of vegetables, meat and cheese. Very boring diet.

I'd have to say, sirloin & some big salad are the most common supper. The steak is always grilled!
