Since this guy seems to already be in something of an emotionally unstable state of mind, I'm thinking there's a chance (albeit very slim chance) that he could fess up to what he did and that way we wouldn't have to keep speculating about if and why he killed her.

Dark stains on the box springs found in the apartment, mattress found in the dumpster, traces of blood found on the walls, and a new mattress purchase lead me to believe she's dead and that they *might* have enough evidence to hold him without the body -- if they find that it is, in fact, Lori's blood, that it was recent, and that there was enough blood lost to have been fatal. But for her family's sake, I hope they find her so they can know for sure what happened.

its an act. he was sane enough to plan the murder and get rid of the evidence. and he was sane enough to get away with a lie for years. just an act.
i have zero pity for him

Now, on Fox News, they are reporting that a bloody knife with hair on it was found in the apartment and the family will be holding a press conference at noon EST. I'm not sure if that means they've uncovered more evidence that the news is not reporting yet or what. It seems if that was the case the police would hold the press conference, not the family. Who knows -- maybe it will actually be both.

Well, time to get my day started. I guess I'll hear about it on the radio or on the news later tonight.

Helen - couldn't agree more - I have zero pity for him also. I said it was all an act also. Sure looks like he killed her. Look how long it took to find Laci's body? This could be a long wait.

Again, I look at this from a parent's point of view - it's your worst nightmare come true. First your daughter is missing and then the person she trusted most in this world killed her! Someone you trusted too and welcomed into your family. When this day comes for my daughters, I will be a little skeptical I'm sure and I hope and pray they find men who cherish them, not harm them. You have to feel for Lori's parents right now. They must be so distraught. And you have to wonder how Laci's parents are feeling also - they're in the midst of Scott's trial and then this story breaks. I'm sure it's like reliving terrible memories twice over. If you think about it, Laci's parents are reliving their personal tragedy 3 times - the murder, the trial and knowing another innocent girl's family is going thru the very same thing. So sad.

No, this was a crime of passion. I doubt either of them had Scott Peterson on their minds. I still think she confronted him with the truths of the med school/move to NC/college graduation lies.

Where did the 'tuition' money go? Maybe that's what she wanted to know?

I heard Lori had been denied a personal loan when the bank found out he wasn't exactly who she portrayed him to be in the application. She had to find this out from a 3rd party and I doubt it made her very happy...

Also hearing that they found a chunk of woman's hair in a dumpster near a car wash there. Material in the vacuum cleaner there may yield more evidence?

This is so sad! Since Mark worked in a mental hospital, he knows exactly how to act to appear "insane" and may be doing just that.

Because a lot of the early evidence pointed to not connecting. Like the thing with the fishing boat..

Maybe I'm just a moron or something lol

You are not a moron, John - just expressing your opinion which may turn out to be right. Who knows?

Some things appear clear cut to a majority but turn out to be wrong.

No, Ziffel is in his pen at the moment. He wants out real bad but I won't let him. I would let him run around at Eastern but they have a bounty on his head.
