Chinese Restaurant surprise

#1 Postby coriolis » Fri Jul 30, 2004 6:51 am

There's a chinese restaurant a couple doors down from this house we just moved into. I walked over there last night to get dinner. I was surprised when I walked in there because the proprieter, the cashier, everyone working there was full blooded american! I'm not trying to be racist or anything, but even in this out of the way place, all the other chinese restaurants are staffed by, well, persons of oriental heritage. The food is authentic. It was just a big surprise. If it wasn't for the food and decor, I would have thought I was at a greasy spoon diner!

I was afraid to open this thread, I mean, you NEVER see stray *pets* walking the streets on or near a resturant in which you refer to "LOL!"

Ya but c, was the food any good?

Me Misty turned her nose up to some chinese leftovers the other day. Made me wonder what was in there...

"There's a cat in the kettle at the Peking Moon
A place that I go every day at noon
They say that it's chicken, or it's fish or pork
But it's Garfield on my fork, yes...
A furball on my fork!

Meow-ow-owww, meow-ow-ow-ow-oww,
Meow, ow, ow-ow-owowow-oww...
