Terrorist Strike
I may be naive but I am feeling pretty safe right. I think we are on our toes and will catch them before they can strike.

Good. Because if they are using misinformation to raise fears, that may be all they can pull off at this time.
I hope. Because this could be a diversionary tactic too?

I voted no as well. I believe that some specific actions can be diverted or minimized, but not all. In MHO, it is a question of when and not IF. These terrorists can and will rock our world once again. Americans have already become complacent, lulled into a sense of security that is far from real - and 9/11 is not that far behind us.
Don't think so? Just take a look at all the "things" that are missing around the world.... put them all together and what do you get? Big trouble. As the saying goes, those who refuse to learn from history are condemed to repeat it.

That has definitely crossed my mind! While the East coast is being protected lookout West coast! Or anywhere else in the US for that matter.

HOWEVER, I'm not going to say that another terrorist strike will NEVER happen again.
yep, they diverted to Italy. We have 15days now.
A chemical attack is expected. Some "sleeper" cells might be activated
within arabian communities here...

It's not a matter of faith, "they" need a resounding event and Italy's
a good target, that would pay a lot in terms of resonance.
I have faith that we all are asking our gods the same things, hope the
muslims living here would protect themselves as well and help us in stopping those that believe only in death...

I also voted "NO"; besides our OVERLY porous borders, we have 16 million Muslims within our borders that we know of...and not a few of these are passively, or actively pursuing the aims of the terrorists.
Imagine if but 10...20,000 are "activated" at a specific date to do what they can...the results would be staggering in lives lost, and due to OUR laws and freedoms, we can't monitor this substrata as diligently as we should...which goes to the terrorist's aims.

To amplify further, if you knew what the people who live along the Borders do, particularly the Southern Border, then you would realize that both the media and the Politicians (from BOTH Parties and in and out of office) are systematically and DELIBERATELY witholding information about what is really going on. It's common knowledge down here that the BP is forbidden to release any information about OTM (Other Than Mexican) illegals apprehended down here to the Public-of which there are plenty. How many of you know that nearly 10000 criminals have been caught entering the country illegally since last October 1st in AZ-these are people convicted of crimes HERE IN THE US and who were deported after serving their sentences. There have also been about 400000 illegals apprehended here since October 1st. Consider this now, about 1 in every 5 illegal gets caught-the others make it in. Now add an organization like AQ experienced in illegal entries into Countries with tighter borders, and you have a real problem. Cities like Tucson and Houston aren't Hamas and AQ
hotbeds in this Country for no reason as they are both large urban areas with a diverse population (including Muslims) close to the Mexicn Border.

And, unlike the campesinos, the Al Qaida-types can afford to pay BIG $$$ to the Federales, or whoever can get them inside our borders.
IMPRIMIS had a paper out, just a few months back, detailing the "broken-window" aspect of border security...and the article was quite specific, Steve...as you stated.
