Anyone watch this show? We did last night. It's a good thing I have little time for TV these days otherwise I could see myself getting hooked on this show. LOL You want to see how the lady trying to get to her cruise connection makes out. You want to see if the guy told he's not allowed to bring along his oxygen tank on the plane, gets on the plane w/o it. Stories like that.
We've never flown as a family on any vacation. It's just too expensive! All of these years (11 years) we've driven, with the trunk packed to the gills, snacks, drinks in the car. Kids fighting......what fun! Our kids are always saying - all of our friends fly, why can't we? Yeah and some of their friends go on TWO vacations a year, sure why not....run up our Visa. NOT. LOL
So I looked at them both last night and said - now aren't you glad we don't fly?!!! Little do they both know Jim and I have never had the trouble these customers have on this show. So I know full well it's greatly exaggerated. It is a nice diversion type show.
So again, anyone else watch this show?

Hi Miss Mary,
Nice to meet you. I watched it last night. My family flies a lot, to and from Orlando. Believe me, that stuff on there IS real. Personally, my favorite airline is AMTRAK, sleeper car included for long trips. I like my feet ON THE GROUND or at least some where close to it. My sons say it's cause I am a control freak and I would be fine in a commercial airlilner IF they would let me fly the plane LOL. They are right. Guilty as charged!

Denise - nice to meet you too! I have heard horror stories about lost luggage, missed connections, being bumped, etc. It's just never happened to us much. I take that back, my oldest daughter's HS Orchestra group were on two different flights coming back from a trip to Disney World. One group got delayed by several hours. So here at our airport was the first group, landed and with their luggage already. Bus was there too but they had to wait for the rest of the party. My daughter was on the delayed flight, can't remember the reason they were held up now...anyway, the first group was so tired and just wanted to go home. Parents couldn't come get them unless they had a pre-signed note, given to chaperones before the trip. Anywho, the entire group was not happy, until the teachers announced they could report to school at 10 a.m. instead of 7:20, with their Principal's permission. The entire delay qualified as a legit tardy.
That's the only thing I can think of though but as I said we just prefer driving, over flying.

Whenever I can fly, I will. Amtrak is too problematic, more expensive, and quite frankly just takes too long. For example, I went from Syracuse to Boston on Amtrak this past December. Not only did the train arrive 2 hours late, but we sat, somewhere in Mass., not moving in the least, for 8 HOURS! We eventually arrived in Boston about 10 hours late. That convinced me to take the 1 hour flight the next time. Its quicker, sometimes cheaper, and the drinks are free.
