The city of Baghdad is completely surrounding by coalition forces. And U.S. forces have raided Baghdad again, seizing key positions in the Iraqi capital, including Saddam Hussein's primary presidential palace and the Iraqi leader's parade grounds.

Also, Ali Hassan al-Majid, aka "Chemical Ali" and one of the most brutal members of Saddam's inner circle, was apparently killed by an airstrike on his house in Basra, British officials said today. He had been dubbed "Chemical Ali" by opponents for ordering a 1988 poison gas attack that killed thousands of Kurds.
