My dog is seriously ill. We took her in and they said she had a bad heart. She may pull through but she may not. Please pray that she makes it. We have had her for 10 years and she is part of the family.

nystate - got ya covered, I'll pray your sweet dog makes it. We have a Golden Retriever and I can honestly say I can't imagine life without her now. She's 3 and a family member now. So I understand how very special pets can become.

Hey, I'll pray for the pup as well, and remember in the worse case scenario, all dogs go to heaven....Im also a dog owner and have also lost a dog or two, so I know how you feel

Nystate, my best wishes that your dog has a healthy recovery. As many of you know I have two Siamese cats, who will be 6 1/2 on July 6th... they are truly part of the family.

:( I'm sorry to hear about your dog NY! It is very hard when a pet is ill. I pray that he does get beter soon. I have a cat that's 13 and we think that he has stomach cancer (per my vet). I know how you feel and the best thing that you can do is just let them know they're loved.

After 16 years

#11 Postby azskyman » Mon Apr 21, 2003 10:04 pm

After 16 years, we had to put our dog Sasha to sleep. A very difficult thing to do. Perhaps yours will have many good years remaining...and our thoughts are with you as you look to the future.

NY. We have pets, including a new puppy, and they are just like family. Prayers from this house for your dog.

I'm sorry to hear about your pet, NYState. I just lost a dog just last week and our pets are "family" ... I'll make sure to include your dog as well in my prayers tonight.

I came VERY close to losing my poogle puppy last summer; seems that she chewed grass which had traces of transmission fluid in the soil (thanks to "party-hearty" next-door neighbors who were finally thrown out by our landlord)... :grrr:

Being my 24/7 comfort, bodyguard, fluffball and "she be a ho'" with "ain't no tail", I understand in full, and I pray that YOUR best friend comes out of this OK. :(

Thanks for all the responses!

The vet called today. She has been staying at an animal hospital at Cornell University for the past few days, and she was making good progress. But just recently they found fluid all inside her body. They are thinking it could be heart failure or even cancer. These next few hours are critical, please continue your prayers.

Thanks for your support. We got a phone call at about 6 am, and the vet said she died. She really was part of the family, and I will never forget her.
