NEW YORK (Reuters) - Oil prices closed above $50 a barrel for the first time Friday amid concern over possible conflict in Nigeria's oil-producing delta region, where a two-day truce between rebel militia and government forces seemed to be holding.

Light crude for November contract jumped 48 cents to settle at $50.12 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. The contract had hit a trading high of $50.47 Tuesday but fell back
