Such a sad day at work, today...

#1 Postby breeze » Tue Nov 02, 2004 8:27 pm

One of the physicians in our office building in Columbia, TN
was shot to death by a stalker, last night. Oh, she was such
a sweet, vibrant young lady who always had a cheery smile,
and, all of her patients loved her so much, as well as anyone
who ever came to know her. I'm going to miss meeting her
smiling face on the stairwell, saying, "How are 'ya?"

Thanks so much, Eric and Jonathan. This day
has just really hurt for all of us in the medical
community in Columbia.

Breeze... Having you as an acquaintance was surely a blessing for this doctor as well. Still, it seems so unfair when we lose those who have that magical connection with the people they serve.

Such a shame. Prayers going out tonight from Phoenix...for her family, and for you.

Ugh! Love-obsessed stalkers who resort to that stupid "If I can't have you, no one can" scenario make no sense to me. How stupid and senseless! Why would ANYONE kill someone they claim to love?

I pray for her family and for you guys who worked with her, Breeze. That's just so tragic.

Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers, and, thanks for
letting me share this with you all. She actually worked in the
group on the next floor up (Internal Medicine - we're Neurology)
but we all shared alot of the same patients, and, worked
closely, and, everyone in this building knows each other. The
ladies that actually worked close with her are all still trying
to come to terms with this, the most. There was a flower
memorial in her usual parking space, today - so beautiful.

You're all a blessing - thanks!
