can I see the northern lights tonight? I am positive that is what I am seeing... it is so neat looking!

All I saw was big, fat, BEAUTIFUL Orion in the east..."my" constellation since I was small, due to the fact that it was right there at sunset on my birthday, looking out the front door of my childhood home. :D

yup, they were out here, but I didn't get a chance to see them with all the lights around the city.

We could see them here even with the lights of the city. Our local NWS got a snapshot of it, too. Check it out.

Wow!! What a shot!!! Even though I have doubts that we can see anything this far South, especially with the city lights here in Houston, I will sure be looking. If I see a hint I will hop in the old carraige and take a ride out to the country for sure.
