I've heard that there is a natural substance in turkey that does enhance sleepiness!

Christmas as we celebrate the birth of the Christ child and now where I work I get a week off at Christmas(but I have to use vacation to cover what they don't(varies from year to year)).

New Years Eve will never be my favorite day. The reason is that is the day my mother passed away on in 2003.

Any more, none of them seem too appealing to me..... But, that wasn't one of the options. My hat's off to those of you who can still find joy on these days.

Christmas - Stuff on the shelves in August!! :x
Thanksgiving - Too many family members torn between which house to go to!! Plus, they gotta work too!! It's a 24/7 world now...
4th of July - Flag abuse and fireworks stands making loads of money.
Halloween - The city tells us what day "NOT" to celebrate it - Sunday??
Easter - The whole reason is now completely lost in candy marketing...
New Years Eve/Day - Not bad... But, too many drunks on the road. Some of which are the same drunks that keep getting DUI's as a way of life.

Mine definitely isn't Christmas....just too many bad memories (i.e.- mom died Dec. 11th; aunt Ruby on Dec 25th :( :(

Don't get me wrong...I really love Christmas and always have. It just always seems to end up a disaster' ever since mom died. I've eaten too many Christmas dinners in the hospital cafeteria since 1977....far too many :(

At one time, July 4th was my favorite holiday, but in recent years it's become New Years Eve/ Day....followed closely by Thanksgiving (football o'plenty

I HATE THAT!!! The city has already put up DECORATIONS here(along Main Street). :grr:

Wal-Mart looks like a freaking Winter Wonderland.

I don't even want to THINK about Christmas(outside of making wish lists for family members :P ) until Thanksgiving.

Mardi Gras isn't an option? It's my favorite holiday...lots of king cake, parades, cheap beads!

Samhain (pronouned "sow-WEEN"), or Hallowe'en for me.

I love the smell of burning leaves in the morning...and even better at night.

THANKSGIVING!!!!

I love Thanksgiving because it isn't about presents or cards or even wild decorations......it's just about being with people you care about, being thankful all the good things that are in our lives!~~~~Like friends at S2K!!!!!!!

I never knew that! I think they even referred to it in the movie "Halloween" (or one of the many sequels) and I recall someone writing it on a chalkboard (on a detective show or something way back in the 80's/early 90's), but I think Donald Pleasance said it wrong.

Learn something knew everyday! Thank ya, Bill! :)

I love the spirit of christmas, so I voted it as my fav holiday. The holiday with the most meaning to me is however Easter. I wish I could vote twice!

None this year or maybe never again. My mother is now gone and now there's no use in celebrating, especially the holidays. She loved these holidays because the whole family got together.I suppose next year might be better.Hope so.
