to a night talk show on the radio and were talking about how someone can come into the United states with some BIO or Smallpoxs to kill millons!!!!They also talked about nuclear bombs being in the states somewhere????I know another "attack"will happen but when,where,and how it may happen is still the Question What do you think????????????

I think you may be catching on, glad to have you on board. I try to post articles I read dealing with these subjects in the Off Topic area daily. You may want to look at some of my older posts to catch up. As to how, where and when that is a tough one. I try to get as much info and advanced warning as I can to pass along. Do I have a crystal ball, no but I do see some behind the scenes stuff that is not reported to mainstream media. No intel is 100% correct and stuff does happen. Is my info always right, no but that is a good thing sometimes.

I fear we are in for a large and/or multiple attacks in the CONUS and I think they will happen within the next 2 months. IMO, they will involve both dirty bombs and bio weapons and unfortunately I do fear many more deaths than we witnessed on 9/11. I HOPE AND PRAY I AM WRONG!! But there is way too much chatter our there about it happening on "all channels" and we know that our borders are a seive and that components for dirty bombs have been smuggled in.

If an attack using smallpox is successful, it would kill millions(or certainly Hundreds of Thousands). It's a scary thought and it could happen.

You know, this is one of those issues I can't let myself get to upset about because there isn't a darn thing I can do about it.

Dumb question - I know I was vaccinated for small pox waaaaaay back in the early 70's before the WHO declared small pox vanquished and vaccines were dropped. Does anyone know if any protection still exists from a shot all those years ago?

Not a dumb question since we were told that the smallpox we were vaccinated for is not the same strain floating around now...

I do not get all upset about it either. As you stated there isn't too much we can do about it. Staying a little more vigilant of your surroundings is just about all you can do and of course report any suspiscious activity to the authorities immediately. It might be nothing or you may just have a mistaken impression of what you are seeing, but I say better safe than sorry in those situations.

The biological weapons issue I know nothing about besides basic biology.

I believe that radioactivity detectors are installed at all transit points for the entry of goods into the United States. Also I believe there are teams of trucks that go through major cities looking for radioactivity. These were probably initiated to make sure a Russian suitcase bomb wouldn't find its way into a major US city during the cold war.

Anyone have sources for what I've heard?

Kevin the suitcase bomb as it is made today would be undetectable by the trucks you are talking about. As far as getting all the components into the US, that is a breeze-just walk across the border Mexican or Canadian in a remote location and you are in and so is the component. It then doesn't take much to put it all together for someone who is determined to do it.

There is plenty of dirty bomb material that is missing within our borders as well. kevin last I heard all transit points were not covered. I think it is late 2005 or early 2006 until they have all the ports covered for radioactive material. I think we are now up to 5% of all containers being searched that comes through the ports. They do have the system in place for the Coast Guard to intercept suspected ships before entering port. OBL is thought to have upwards of 200 boats including cargo & tanker types. If there are still Russian suitcase bombs here then they would require maintence that AQ may or may not have aquired. Now for bio's you would have the standard ones you hear about like smallpox and the plague. There is a very nasty Russian one I read about that killed the scientist within a week after he pricked himself carelessly. He wrote about it in a journal as he new there was no cure. I think he discovered it by accident by taking it from some wild rats near his lab. I don't recal if he modified it but there was a chance it could be out there in the wild just waiting. Chemicals are a real possibility as well. They can be disspersed through backpack means while walking about a city or like athe Japan subway attack a few years back. They also could be deployed by some of the missing crop dusters, of which few more just went missing in the south west.
