Got sick at work yesterday :(

Hi guys.. I do feel a lot better today.. but yesterday was not too great..

1st off.. I think I got food poisoning from something I ate on Monday night..

2nd.. I got to work yesterday at 2:30 and 1 of my fellow cart natzi's lol decided to give me trouble.. I reported him.. My boss told me to take a few mins. to simmer down..

I came back out shortly before 3:45 or so.. with a real nasty chill.. My boss thinks it was nerves.. but I think it was because I was sick..

As I was getting ready to go back outside.. I made a mad dash to the bathroom because I kinda had to purge .. You should have seen how many management people came running when they heard me purging.. Must have been every manager in the store lol..

Anyway.. I then got a violent headache but decided to try to work through it anyway.. But around 5-5:30.. I went to get up and had to sit right back down.. So about 5-10 minutes later.. I stumbled {literally lol} over to the csm podium and told my manager I wanted to go home, but I actually felt like staying at work..

My manager let me go to lunch.. I did not eat a thing.. and when my lunch break was over.. she sent me home.. Funny thing is.. around 9:30-10 last night.. I felt all better..

Now I just wonder if I can come in on my next day off {Monday} and work a 1/2 day since I missed 4 1/2 hours yesterday.. Maybe she'll let me..

I also realized something yesterday.. The entire store loves and adores me.. I must have had at least 65-70 percent of the employees come up before I went home and check up on me..

Yes, employers/employees are like family!!

I remember one time at a tire tread and tire repair products plant I worked at where I used to live in NC...anyway one time a female employee had a seizure...it was bad enough that she needed an ambulance...many employees gathered around for comfort and support for her as the supervisor attended to her and her boyfriend (who also worked at the plant...same shift) was with her, too. BTW...she was fine after being treated at the ER and returned to work a few days later!

I will be going back tomorrow unless I take another massive downturn lol..

I think it was something I ate, but some of my employees still thought it was nerves or exhaustion..

I actually thought about asking them to call an ambulance for me instead of sending me home.. But I thought I'd try going home... I sweated off my fever.. {it had to have been over 100} and by 9-10pm I felt fine..

Sounds like a case of food poisoning. You probably got rid of most of it when you "purged".... and your nerves could have contributed to the headache.

I'm glad you're doing better today. Sounds like you have alot of people who care about you at work. That's Great!

As a matter of fact I do Mary.. I really do think when I purged it took the "poison" out.. but the violent headache was no help lol..

Good thing you didn't get an ambulance because you probably would have gotten a hefty bill for it later.

I remember when I had to call 911 for George one time and they sent a bill that was astrononically sky high.
