I will bring it in with my sisters! My brother-in-law has bought enough fireworks to level their end of the block!! I will be in charge of making the Cajun Eggnog Daquiri's!!

Quietly, as usual...maybe a bottle of non-alcoholic "Sparkling Catawba Juice" and some Fritos with French Onion dip. :larrow:

New Year's Day will bring the usual burden of "ham an' black-ah peas" dinner.

A quiet evening at home. Up early New Years day to take down the decorations. Black eye peas and rice with a side of turnips.

A quiet evening with my folks...watch the ball drop at Times Square on "New Year's Rockin' Eve!" with Regis Philbin...(will be strange not to see Dick at least this year!)...but knowing he'll be BACK to usher in 2006 makes me smile all the same!! :D

No block party this year, so we're considering tickets to an outdoor BB King/Dr. John concert. If not, maybe we'll have an "I Love Lucy" or Marx Brothers DVD marathon at home, lots of champagne, plus a run into the front yard, banging pots and pans and lids for noisemakers (family tradition from my mom's youth) at midnight! Jan. 1 is football and non-stop grazing on finger-foods all day, plenty of beer, super-spicy hot chili (veggie and regular), and herring for good luck. :bd:

Quiet celebration at home with my (almost) 10 year old twins. Our New Year's Eve tradition includes a Spaghetti dinner, junk-food-pig-out, TV w/Dick Clark--of course, Regis will be doing the honors this year. :(

Then, once they finally flake out at 11:30, I see in the new year, and head to bed. Nothing fancy, but always great!
