Does anyone believe a spirit can be captured on a camera. If anyone replies I will go into more detail.

My wife and I had an strange experience with our 5 month old baby girl. She obviously saw something we did not thus I decided to take two photos.

This is what I posted at GhostTracker.com

I have always believe the spirits of our loved one visit us. In 1988 I lost a grandmother I was extremely close to. It was very tough. My dad informed me of my grandmother's passing. After that news I took a nap and awoke looking at my grandmother in my room telling me it will be ok. It was an experience I never forgot. I lost my dad in Oct of 2002. On July 27th of this year my wife and I had our first child. She is 5 months old and wonderful. In the last few months I have noticed her staring mesmerized into the parts of the house and though maybe my dad is near. This evening my wife noticed it and said she is staring at someone who is not there. A few minutes ago the same thing ocurred. There was no doubt in my mind she was trying to talk to someone. Thats when I put her down and took to photos from my Canon Digital Camera.

I would like everyone's input on the photos.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v338/ ... G_0688.jpg

This photo show an orb at the top of the photo over the arc with the plant just below it.

Also there is a second orb on the far right in the middle. Its over the blinds.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v338/ ... G_0686.jpg

In this photo its easily seen in the doorway below the arc and the the upper right the reflecting flash in the picture frame.

I then took 2 more photos with the same exact lighting and did not see any orbs.

I truely believe my dad and grandmother visited our wonderful baby.

Thanks for any input.

I've seen 'em online in supposed photos of "ghosts" while looking for the "Ghosts Of Galveston" website. If I've ever photographed one, as far as I'm concerned, it was a glare within the camera that was exposed on the film or a drop of moisture on the lens or something else that caused that white "orb" to appear.

Not trying to disrespect your opinion or beliefs, k? :) It's just that I personally am not convinced...yet. Keep in mind, however, that I TRY my darnedest to experience fear. That's part of the reason I want to go on the Ghosts Of Galveston tour...if I can just find out when it is. I like horror movies and thrillers for that reason -- trying to understand supernatural fear. Hasn't happened yet, but I'll keep trying. So far, ghosts, vampires, witches, things that go bump in the night -- nada, nothing, no effect.

So, since ya asked, have you? :D (Edit -- you posted as I was typing. Going to check out your photos now. :) )

In the first photo, there's also an "orb" in front of the chair in the background, just below the picture where the flash was. And two more (one small, one slightly larger) across the wall between the plant in the arc and the top of the doorway. Also, one above the bottom right hand corner of the lightswitch next to the quilt.

As for what it is, let your faith guide you. Don't take my disbelief personally. :)

Very interesting experience tonight and not sure what to think. If it was not for our baby I would have taken the photos. There is no doubt in my mind she saw something I did not. The facial expressions and the direction she was looking was very interesting. She was looking into the distance. It was the same emotion and look she gives to us. I was surprised when my wife told me she was looking at someone that was not there. My wife ran an errand the same thing occurred. I knew she saw something I did not. That when I decided to take the photos.

One of my favorite reads are short ghost stories. I've also bought books about local hauntings or legends of. I've seen in books pictures of "images" or orbs that are supposedly of that particular spirit.

I really do believe that spirits try to communicate with us. I've had my own experience last year which I know I've told here before. My cat, Derby, had to be put to sleep. He was 17 years old. We had him cremated and the vet had the ashes put into a nice little cedar chest with a name plate on the top. I have it sitting in my family room in my entertainment center, right next to a picture of my grandmother. This is the first animal I ever had cremated, and I wasn't sure of how I was going to feel having the ashes inside "looking" at me. In all reality, I felt very comforted knowing that he was "with me".

Anyway, a couple that lives in the neighborhood has a Boston Terrier named Maggie and they come around every once in a while to chat and have Maggie play with my Boston Terrier, Rudy. A few days after we received Derby's ashes back, they stopped by and gave us some cat food and toys from their cat that recently passed away as well. I have three other cats. We chatted and I told them about Derby and then I went inside.

When my Grandmother was alive, she had cats and always would feed them a certain brand named "Figaro". She even heated the food up in a pan.  I'll always remember "Figaro" because of the little face of a black and white cat on the label. I still see it in the store, but not often. Well, when I opened the bag, there were three cans of "Figaro" cat food inside. I realized IMMEDIATELY that my Grandmother was trying to tell me that Derby was with her and he's alright. I ran over to the chest and my Grandmother's picture and hugged them and cryed. I was so thrilled with that!

Another few days went by and the same lady stopped by with a box of "Scoop Away" cat litter that she had left over. I always thought when I saw the picture of the cat on the box that it looked like my Derby. The cat is stretched out and asleep with a smile on his face. It's a brown tabby like Derby was. I almost died when she gave me the box. I felt that it was a message from Derby telling me how content and happy and peaceful he was.

I could be reading an awful lot into these two instances, but my gut tells me I'm not. I have other friends that say that their grandparents that have passed are with their children, etc. It could be that the orbs were reflections of light back into your camera, but I wouldn't discount the possibility that they may have been their "spirits"

KatDaddy...I believe.

My experience was totally different. I was praying before mass. Only my husband and myself in the pew, no one else around. I was seeking comfort over some serious medical problems I was having with surgery looming in the near future. All of a sudden I heard a deep booming voice tell me, "Everything will be alright". I opened my eyes, looked around to see who could have said that to me and the only person around me was my husband deep in prayer. No one can tell me that it wasn't God talking to me, reassuring me. From what I understand from a dear friend of mine, I'm not the only one to experience a message from God like that in that church.

I have had several visitations by people who have died. The first was my father several weeks after he died. I was watching TV and he walked into the living room. This was no ghostly spirit but completely real in the flesh person. He didn't speak but just looked concerned. The second appearance was by someone who used to live in the house we occupied. It was five in the morning and I was reading and having my coffee. There was a door leading to the kitchen which had a glass window. The former occupant was in her nightgown and went from the refrigerator to the stove and was obviously making coffee. I believe there is an entity in the house I am living at now. Everyday around four in the afternoon, the house gets freezing cold. Summer or winter AC or heater its extremely cold for about thirty minutes. Several people died in the house and I believe one of them must have died around that time. When my father passed away, he was looking at something in a corner of the room with the most astonished look on his face, and joyful. I have no doubts that he was looking at someone.

Until recently, I did not believe in ghosts. I was over at my girlfriends house in Pass Christian. She had left to get a few things at Wall-Mart. I was sitting in the kitchen when I heard a man call the name "Marge." Well, thinking I was alone, I got up and checked the house out and as far as I could tell I was indeed alone. The TV or radios were off. When my friend returned, I told her what happened. She looked at me funny and said that Marge was the wife of Morris the man that lived in the house before her and that he passed away years ago. So, was Morris seeking out his wife Marge?......MGC

I have had one time of such odd things happening...My mom was sick and dying in Sept of 2003. She was at home with my dad and I had went over to visit her, like I did daily (it was on a Friday). I told my hubby that he might want to take the weekend off because my mom really looked bad, and I didnt think she was going to make it through the weekend and that I didnt want the kids to go see her looking like this. Anyways.. I was alone at my home that Friday night/Saturday morning, and at around 2:30-2:45 my smoke detector went off twice.. two long "buzzzz" anyways the next morning my dad called me around 7:30 am and told me she had passed overnight.. I asked what time, and he said he felt her leg around the same time my smoke alarm went off... I found that odd... For courisity I checked to see if the batteries were bad, and my smoke detector runs on my electricity... Just odd...

I havent had any encounters with my mother since, and I also have a baby..She is 1 now, but when she was a few months old she was always focused on something over my shoulder, although there was nothing there.. At 4 months I showed her a picture of my mother, and my baby smiled for the first time... very freaky!

I really want to see my mother or know if she can see my baby or if shes ok.. I just want to see her again, I am forgetting what she looks like... If anyone knows any advice please let me know! ;)

Katdaddy, I believe as well, however those are not Orbs...Ive done experiments before, and the"orbs" that people catch on the camera in houses are DUST particles. Dust is falling in the house all the time, and the light from a camera, or even if its close enough, no need for a lightn the focus is off, and it makes it look like "orbs" So this is what I believe you are catching there. Do this....Take the same camera, and brush dust around, like smack a couch or something, take a picture of the particles, and you will see millions of orbs. So that is what you are photographing.

Katdaddy... I do see "orbs" in your picture.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v338/ ... G_0688.jpg

In that one I see one over the plant, one by the blind, one on the bottom right hand side of the light switch, and there is another over the far dining room chair.

In the other photo, i only see one of these objects. I have my doubts though and believe like tornado-chaser they are more than likely dust particles.

I do however believe in the spirit world. The old and new testements of the bible are full of references to the spirit world... We are warned though as christians not to delve into such things..
