What are your plans for New Year's Eve/Day?

#1 Postby Skywatch_NC » Fri Dec 31, 2004 10:13 am

I'll be celebrating the arrival of 2005 with my folks with some Chex Mix, boiled custard or orange juice...soft drinks I don't manage well with at night due to most being caffeinated...I do like Sprite and 7 Up, etc., so will check to see if we have any of those available. :) Will watch "New Year's Rockin' Eve!" (will be thinking of you and your wife, Dick, and wishing you two a Blessed New Year and that your health gets on the re-bound Mr. "Ageless Teenager!") :) ...Regis you have a tall order to fill!...think you can handle it, Mr. "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" NOW...to make the evening even more complete...I NEED that #11 pic Ho Ho Ho cheerleader to magically come out of her frame and join me on the sofa in front of the TV!! :D :D

Tomorrow will watch the Rose Parade...I have some friends from my days in se NY state named Ralph and Cookie who will be there in the crowd...have a feeling though that spying them in the crowd on national TV may be a feat in itself...but miracles do happen!! :D And then on to watching some bowl games along with some more munch munch throughout much of the day!! :D

A BLESSED & HEALTHY 2005 FOR MY BELOVED S2K FAMILY!!!! :D :D

(((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))))))))))) :D

I'll be doing my celebrating vicariously through the reports here on the board and by checking out the tube this evening. Since nothing seems to be stopping this 3-week round of pain, nausea and hurling, I'm stuck in the house. Trying to get Dave to go out and have some fun but he insists on staying home and playing nursemaid. The neighbors are having a small get-together so hopefully he'll wander over there for a while.

Glad to see the end of 2004 - it's been a really ROTTEN year. Here's to hoping 2005 is better!

Eric - enjoy your New Year's Eve and Day plans!!!

We usually stay home the 31st, it's crazy out there with drunk drivers late at night. Or having to go thru sobriety police checks at various intersections. I think this began b/c it was difficult to find a sitter and so by now, we're homebodies. But a good friend of ours wants us to go out tonight. It wouldn't be for dinner, but for live music beginning at 9. A very anti-typical New Year's Eve celebration actually. We're considering it since we're not the dress-up type anyway!

We have an annual New Year's Day party. Been going to it since at least 1991. It's always a fun party.

Jen, since I can't catch your "bug" through the computer screen...((((HUG))))
to you, Wxbuddy! :) Here's to 2005 being much healthier!! :D
Dave you're a good man in nursing your better half along! :) Continued prayers and warm thoughts sent your way! :)

Mary, :)

Same to you, Wxbuddy!! :D Do/have you, Jim and the girls ever taken part in a taffy pull as part of your New Year's celebration? :) I've read somewhere one time that it's one of those traditions...right up there with black-eyed peas! :D

Sudden change of plans - we're home tonight!!! Turns out Nina wants to have a few friends over. Oh well, we'll go out another night. Besides I'll want to rest up for the New Year's Day party (read: lightweight here, LOL).

I work :( until 9:30 pm New Year Eve, and work 11am to 8pm on New Year Day. :(

I am very close to calling it quits with the grocery work.

Beachin it today. Headed out tonite with good friends for dinner and dancing.

Cleaning up vacation house on Saturday to get ready for some renters and trying to catch a few football games before heading back to Lakeland.

Can it really be 2005 already? Seems like we were just getting ready to celebrate 2001.

A Happy, Peaceful, & Prosperous New Years to all.

Time has been flying. You are right, it seems like we just entered the new millenium. Ever since the late 90s, it seems like my life (now I am 23) has been speeding up.

1. Drinking my very last (will power, Shawn....will power) Diet Pepsi.
2. Counting down to the Times Square ball drop with my best friends.
3. Kinda wishing I'd have someone to kiss at midnight.

My brother flew his kids down to spend the week with us. My sister's kids are coming over as are my 4 great neices and nephews. Add mine to the batch and I'm running a day care center tonight :-)

I'm actually looking forward to it. We have tons of food to eat, games to play, movies to watch. It will be a "slumberless" party.

Kiss yourself in the mirror. That After-Drinking-and-Smoking-All-Night-Midnight-Kiss ain't all it's cracked up to be!

Ick! The other is not my type of kiss anyway. :) Never dated a smoker, probably never will.

Well, besides watching the Three Stooges marathon, my family's gonna go to a New Year's Eve Party at Grand Prarie.

New Year's Day, stay at home, watch TV, go outside, do some walking and running, and relax in the hot tub.

Well, I've got a few possibilities... down to Fort Lauderdale to meet up with some people, but I'm not sure I want to drive that far on New Year's Eve. Another friend has some kind of street party in her neighborhood, which would be much closer to home. Or I could just stay in because I didn't sleep well last night. I have about 8 hours to make my decision.
