I don't know how many of you are All My Children fans but the beloved Phoebe Tyler Wallingford (Ruth Warrick) passed away. She was the grande dame of the soaps!!!!!

Oh man, that is so sad. I remember her and Langley....she was a trip!

God Bless her and keep her. She is at peace in his arms.

I used to watch that show back in the 80's and remember her very well.
She will be missed by many. :(

Oh this is a very sad day in the Soap Opera/Daytime Shows world.

I checked out AMC when it premiered. I liked it. Phoebe Tyler Wallingford was a trip! The storyline I enjoyed following was Greg and Jenny (I hope this was AMC!). Erica was too spoiled for my tastes.

But who could ever forget the character of Phoebe Tyler Wallingford?!!! Ruth Warrick made her what she was.

I didn't continue watching AMC so I don't even know if she was still acting. Was she?

Yes this is sad. I watched it when Greg and Jenny were on there too Miss Mary. When they left, so did I.

Rest in peace Ruth.

AMC recently had a 35th anniversary. Phoebe was there but in a wheelchair.

Ahhh...the great storylines of the show! Yes, the Greg and Jenny storyline was great. Remember Cliff and Nina???? The original Opal was a hoot also!

Cliff and Nina - how can I forget!!! Yes I loved their courtship and wedding - horse drawn carriage and all. Her wedding dress was so beautiful.

I had my first baby a year or two after their wedding. I named her Nina. So many people asked if she was named after Nina Courtland from AMC. She wasn't! But it was hard to explain that one....

How many babies were named Kayla after Kayla on Days of Our Lives? LOL

Or Erica, to talk about AMC again. Or Tara for that matter!

But with my baby, she was named after George Clooney's mom, Nina Clooney - a non celeb (his mom) but a classy lady nonetheless. They're a local famous family ya know....

My mother has been watching the show since day one, so some of it even rubbed off on me over the years. Phoebe was one of the few remaining originals.

My sister tapes it everyday. When she gets home and settles down from work she watches it. I just tell her to tape Monday and Friday because those are the two critical days. lol.
