VCR Alert: David Letterman Tuesday night (CWO Ron Young Jr)

#1 Postby JetMaxx » Mon May 12, 2003 5:57 pm

If you want to see an American hero (actually two)...and a young man that exemplifies the best of my home state...county...and hometown, I humbly invite you to watch live or tape "Late Night with David Letterman" tomorrow night (TUESDAY May 13th) at 11:35 p.m. EDT on CBS.

Dave's special guests will be former POW's & Chief Warrant Officer's Ronald Young Jr of Lithia Springs, Georgia and his Apache co-pilot David Williams from the great state of Texas (Ron graduated from Douglas County High School...located only 1/2 mile SW of my home).

Ron's a very humble and wonderful young man...and we're all mighty proud of him here in Douglas County, Georgia. I wanted to give each of you the opportunity to see why :)

God Bless,
Perry

I hope Letterman opens his mouth about PFC Lynch...and either or both CWOs ram his "people want to know" questions right back down his throat.

They might do it Bill...scuttlebutt has it that Ron isn't one bit happy with some of the negative things that's been said about Pfc Lynch.

Ron mentioned on Friday evening that he and his family was praying for Pfc Jessica Lynch, as well as the families of those brave heroes that lost their lives from the 507th -- the family of one of the young men KIA was in attendance (Spc. Jerome Addison from here in metro Atlanta). They recieved several standing ovations.

Perry,
I watched Letterman last night and those guys were great. I'm glad they could joke about their experience. I would imagine their sense of humor is what helped them get through their ordeal. They are truly heros in my book!
I'm also glad that Letterman kept quiet about Pfc. Lynch.
