Computer (Storm2K)
Caffeine
Gum
Biting my nails!

I know I should cut back on caffeine intake, chewing gum too. And definitely biting my nails!

As for the computer.....well, let's just say I don't know what I did with my time before this thing came along....oh yeah I remember now...

I read the actual newspaper, leisurely I might add.
Ironed, for hours.
Cleaned on a regular basis.
Played solitairre with the actual deck, not on the computer!!!

Why, Brent...I'd give you the "guided tour"! Ask AFLAC about it (she visited me before Christmas).

You know Bill, I stand by this opinion I have of you....

You're all bark, very little bite! So call me crazy, but I'm not too terribly turned off. Now if you had a home filled with stuffed animals you killed yourself, then I don't know...I'd be probably crying.....LOL

Mary...

I CAN "bite"...but, only if necessity dictates. Otherwise, "is wery koddly leedle bear"... And, like all "bears", I won't make a move unless provoked (defending my "cubs", FI).

Mint sugar free chewing gum
The internet. (information about anything 24/7)
Potato chips
My kids and cats
Reading

Mary- think about going caffeine free. I did it several years ago and it was the best thing I could have done. I wake up in the morning with a clear head, no coffee necessary! No more shakes ( yes, I drank a lot of coffee!) and I discovered that the acid in the coffee was bothering my stomach and I hadn't really realized until I gave it up.

wxmom - you are my inspiration. I did go cold turkey on caffeine, 4 times in my life - both pregnancies and after 2 surgeries (had to go w/o not much more than an IV for days, and I mean DAYS, one of those two times it was 14 days!). You're right, your head is much clearer w/o it.

It's just hard to do it, if you don't have a very good reason to stop it!

If I don't have caffeine within 15 minutes of waking up, I get a headache usually.

How did you do it? Just wondering...I'm addicted to regular Pepsi, can't stand caf free Pepsi!!!

Nope, the only stuffed animal I saw was the "Democat," which is Annabelle's (she be a 'ho) chew and chase toy. :)

Brent, don't worry -- it's safe. And the blade collection is awesome and interesting.

As for me, I've said it before, Patty Duke.

See there Bill - testimony you're all bark, no bite!!!

I have proof!!!!

LOL

Mary

PS - KOW, on vacations, I have to keep Ibuprophen and a few saltines in the bathroom. I just get up before everyone else and take 2 and eat a few crackers. That usually takes care of any headache before I can make coffee (don't want to wake everyone up or if we're staying in a hotel, don't want to wait for a shower before heading to breakfast). My family just shakes their head at me, asking - you get a headache that fast if you go without caffeine? I say yes! Last trip I took with 5 female relatives, I bought a 6 pack of Pepsi, but the 4 oz cans. I just drank one warm before I showered, before we ever headed down to eat. At least that way, I didn't get a headache and I felt great all day long.

Mary,

The warm pepsi in the AM is like an alcoholic drinking listerine! Don't you think it's time to break the habit???

I started the same way I quit smoking. I cut down as much as possible. Started by going to half strength. Mixed reg and decafe, then I tried to skip cups if I could. You get that craving at 3-4pm, SKIP IT. Then I gave it up completely. Cold turkey. In the case of coffee, my kids challenged me to not drink any, decafe included. So I had to prove to them that I could do it. That is when I discovered that my stomach felt better, even though I hadn't realized it felt bad.

Now if I could just come up with the willpower to give up the chips.........

I'm about the same. Only difference is I can add University of KY basketball to my personal list. BTW the storm2k thing is one place. I'm addicted to almost everything online with a couple exceptions.

LOL!!! Fortunately I don't take many trips. It's just what I found that works, to keep me feeling well. Believe you me, a headache on a trip or vacation, when everyone else wants to keep going and going (like power shopping with the female relatives or hiking with the family, what we enjoy), is not fun! I've gone without and it's awful.....and it's not much that I need, sometimes a sip or two is all I need! It does sound bad though....LOL
