I prefer Pepsi. I can taste the difference between Pepsi, Coke and RC. Even generic cola brands. I can even taste the difference between Pepsi and Caffeine-free Pepsi!
Right before xmas, when the big snowstorm hit here and many states, we almost ran out of Pepsi. I was bribing my family with Sprite/Vanilla Coke, water, cool-aid if they would leave that last remaining can of Pepsi until we get to the store....LOL They were nice enough to leave it for me....I could have hidden the can....which I have done before.

I have a friend that lived on Tab. She's a First Grade teacher and would have 6 to 8 a day! I think they quit making it......and she went thru major withdrawals back then! Her coworkers were sipping coffee or tea in the mornings, and she'd be sipping her Tab!
RC was okay, it just tastes very different from Coke and Pepsi. I've always thought of Pepsi as being sweeter than Coke (although there's a ton of teaspoons of sugar in it I know). Coke has a more medicinal taste (which I want when sick, which is odd!!!).

LOL - Miss Mary I had to laugh! My boss STILL drinks Tab! I didn't know they still made it! But she brings hers in everyday, and they also sell it in the store in the building here! You know Ann is here when you hear the can crack!

And here I thought Pepsi was addicting....that Tab must be really addicting!!! Didn't know they still made it either.
I'll date myself......anyone remember Mason's Rootbeer? My mom kept a bottle of it, for sprinking clothes before she ironed. That bottle got pitched or returned for a nickle a long time ago though.....I used to love that rootbeer!
And I remember Freska - never cared for the taste though, reminded me of eating a grapefruit! Ewwwww....

Squirt....sort of rings a bell.....wow, there must have been a bunch of flops over time huh? Marketing flops that is.
The biggest one of all has to be when they changed the Coke formula. Dumb, dumb idea! And once they returned the old Coke formula/recipe, weren't there 2 Coke's available? Heck, for all I know there might be still....my kids love Vanilla Coke. That's the only Coke product we buy unless we're having a party....since regular Coke is best with Rum.
Let's make a bet - Shawn will see this thread and dig up a few great websites for defunct soda drinks and trivia! She's good at that......okay, Shawn do your thing!
