PRAYER CHAIN REQUEST
I've just returned temporarily from the hospital where I spent from 4 p.m. Wednesday to 9 a.m. today in the emergency room. My husband appeared to possibly have appendicitis; instead during a two-and-a-half-hour surgery at 10 a.m. the problem turned out to be massive abdominal infection (peritonitis) of unknown origin (they couldn't find the intestinal perforation which would have caused the infection). My daughter, son-in-law, and I were sent home a half hour ago because Kurt was still intubated and still in recovery, probably for several more hours. I need a shower, a good tension-relieving cry alone, and a nap immediately, but I first wanted to reach S2K's mighty prayer chain. I'll be back at the hospital in a few hours without internet access but will report back when I can. Thank you all so very much for keeping Kurt in your prayers.

Thank you all so very much for your loving thoughts and prayers.
Kurt is in intensive care. He is no longer intubated, but will be receiving respiratory therapy every 6 hours for low blood oxygen. He also receiving several antibiotics (one experimental, in fact) and morphine intravenously. I'll be calling his night nurse around 1 or 2 a.m., speaking with the doctor at 7, and visiting him during ICU hours tomorrow morning.
He looks much, much better than he did this morning. I am certain that your prayers are helping him toward complete healing.
