What are your plans for summer?
I plan to not travel outside Puerto Rico but here I will go to the beach several times
and be prepared for a busy season here in Puerto Rico as hurricanes may threat the caribbean this summer.

Nothing special....maybe visit family in Tennessee.
Celebrate Granny's 90th birthday in early July...Lord willing, Becky and Maddie are flying down to help us celebrate
Other than that, just mow lawns, sweat like crazy
and maybe chase a hurricane if it comes within chasing range (between Mobile and Charleston); and definitely track all named storms.
***I had to edit...didn't want folks to think I was 32 years older than my Granny....they'd think I was nuts (can't let the secret out of the bag

Other than our vacation to Wisconsin and then an annual family reunion to KY, we're Cincinnati based all summer. We'll enjoy swimming, relaxing, etc. And I'll enjoy catching up on sleep again. Sleeping in until 7 will be heaven again. Teaching my 15 year old to drive too is on the agenda. Ferrying her to and from her summer job and both girls activities and the whole summer will fly by. As it always does. I also won't miss their school activities and homework. All of the above will be a nice break from our usual routine - schedules, homework, committments, etc.

LOL CajunMama, same here *HEAVY SIGH!* BUT.....we make enough in the summer that when winter hits, we take the WHOLE winter off, that's when we do most of our vacationing, Mexico, Tucson, Albq., ya know, WARMER CLIMATES, another added plus, everyone else is back to school, college etc, etc, SO when we do go to Mexico, we have the WHOLE beach to ourselfs!

a BIG change for me occurs this Saturday. I am leaving my job to go to college full time. I'll attend college at night because my children will be at home. So, we plan on spending as much time as we can in the pool and at the beach. I'm really looking forward to this...it's been forever since I haven't worked.

I have a summer internship in Milwaukee with the Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium. We are building, tracking and finally launching high altitude weather balloons. http://www.uwgb.edu/wsgc
Other than that...working.

"studentmom04" is taking two classes this summer at SEMO, in preparation for her senior year; "firehead" will be celebrating his 15th birthday on June 8 (no parties or anything "special" planned for it, courtesy of "studentmom04"), then he is going to visit my sister in NJ for a month in late June; and I...as usual...will remain inside this apartment, noting the completion of 4 years of enforced isolation as of 1 July.
