Explosion on cruise ship kills three thought to be accident

It turns out that it may have been a boiler that exploded around 6:30 this morning. At least 21 are injured as of this morning. As Rainband mentioned, there are 3 dead.

The minute I read the news from my breaking news email service..I automatically thought it was terrorism..I guess that is just the day and age we live in now!!! Sad I hope they do conclude it was a terrible accident..at any rate i feel for those injured and the loved ones of the fatalities.

Very sad news. My mom called me on the cell this morning to tell me. This is the ship we are sailing on in October. Its a very beautiful, graceful ocean liner from days long past. We really have been excited for this chance to sail on her, as they have talked of retiring her in a years time. Many think this incident will push her into earlier retirement. I really hope NCL chooses to fix her up, because she is a piece of history that I really want to experience. NCL is supposed to release a statement on Tuesday...
