C/3-4-5 are fused, arthritic and have spurs that are affecting the discs; T/7-8 disc is ruptured, and L/5-6 are also arthritic and showing spurs; both shoulders are arthritic. This combination causes the deltoid muscles (neck-shoulder-down the spine) to "harden", making movement iffy at best.
Arthritis also found in both hands/knuckles, and that rash on my legs (plus the distended veins) confirm PAD.
I'm taking Tylenol Arthritis for pain, and have to take 1 aspirin every two days to relieve the arteries; GOOD news is that BP, pulse and gases are well within healthy norms. There are meds for the muscles, but my present Rx contraindicates their use.
They want to get me into PT, but my insurance has a very high spenddown, plus 20% of any visits after that (total of 20 per year allowed).
Thus it is written.
