I've only seen some of the characters for Madagascar on a Payless Shoe Store commercial but that hippopotamus sure is cute!

Between my husband's brush with eternity and hospitalization and my hip/spine disfunctions, we hadn't been to the movies since early January. So last week we went two afternoons in a row. (We couldn't hit Cinderella Man this weekend, but it's on the "must see" list.)

We saw Madagascar on opening day -- very cute with sight/sound gags for both adults and kids! :D

We saw Star Wars the day before that: much better than the previous 2 installments, but quite dark, literally and figuratively -- way too dark for kids.

Since I was able to sit without excruciating pain for both those flicks, I hope to be back to viewing on the cinema screen. No matter how large a TV, it's not the same just watching a rental at home. (And I managed to not eat even ONE kernel of popcorn during either film -- too many carbs for me. Popcorn used to be my favorite part of going to the movies....)

I am supposed to take my 14 year old daughter to see The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants tomorrow night, and my husband is going to the other theater with our 9 year old son to see Madagascar. Hopefully they will both be good.

Took the boys to see The Longest Yard. Great movie.

No desire to see Madagascar. No desire to see Cinderella Man ( i think Russell Crowe is a toad.)

Star Wars was okay. Too intense for me and i dont like it when the bad guys win. dont like it at all.

Want to see Crash, Monster-in-Law, Sahara, and most of the really hyped ones coming this summer.
