Is "Meet the F.'s" really as funny as first movie?

Our local Blockbuster has Meet the F*ckers for rent, but they're all checked out. And since there are no more late fees, people keep the movies, and keep them. LOL

Soooooo, is this movie really worth watching? I remember reviews on it that were surprisingly negative. The trailer was funny, I thought anyways.

Thanks.

When I watched it I thought it was really funny besides all the sextual indenedo. But hey thats what his parents do. lol. But anyways it is a really funny movie and whenever those people decide to return the movies you should rent it. Or if enought people can convince you to, buy it.

Thanks for the positive review! We could always do a pay-per-view, but that's precisely when the phone rings sometimes. Grrrr!!! We wanted to rent it and have it for a few days.

I have to feel for the Blockbuster clerks - more than once have they told me they wish customers would return movies when they were loosely due. I need to see that due date calendar on the door each time I walk out, to calculate when they're really due. I told them once, taking that down is not a good idea!

Well, it's unanimous - we'll rent it. That is if a Blockbuster customer returns it! Guess I'll need to check that just returned pile at B. Sometimes you do get lucky and find one copy of a movie, everyone wants, yet to be re-shelved.

Thanks for the very positive reviews.

You ought to have just more than a Blockbuster. I have a Blockbuster and a Movie Gallery(actually there's 2 of the latter) and the town is of about 18,000.

I want to see it... I've heard it's hilarious.

Brent - I have 3 Blockbusters I can choose from. But you get lazy and frequent the one closest to your house. We'll just wait for it. We also have a Hollywood movie rental nearby, if I ever wanted to open an account there. I remember when many stores offered rentals - Kroger's, etc.

So maybe we should just buy it on pay-per-view. Thanks for telling me how scarce this movie is. It was between this movie or the first of the next 3 Star Wars movies for me (I ~need~ to see the one in theaters, while it's still there, so I'm catching up now).

Seriously though, when we have bought movies, getting the popcorn/soda's ready, and the movie starts up - the phone rings. Happens almost all the time. If it were up to me, I'd let the machine get it. Hubby has to answer it though....

I didn't care for the 2nd. IMO they exhausted Deniro's character, and struggled to wrap up this one. The feeling was mutual as me and me wife both looked at each other and said "Glad we didn't pay to see this in the theatre".

See there, that is one opinion I kept hearing about when it was in theaters last year. That's why I waited to see it. But we'll still watch. $3.99 isn't too bad to folk over for it.

worth $3.99, but not a penny more! :) ... also..I found Focker's Dad to be a rediculous character. then there's the whole football game scene...macho Deniro vs feminine Hoffman. It was lame.

We felt equally jyped with a few other movies, of which I posted about, running on PPV at the time.

Maybe I should rent that SW movie afterall!

My family and I watched Meet The Fockers tonight (PPV). I'd have to say we enjoyed it very much - very funny.

j, sorry you and your wife didn't care for it. We have been very disappointed by a few rentals, so I can see where you felt this way. If you didn't care for the CIA character. He was over the top.

But I have to go with the S2K majority here - we loved it. Laughed many times thruout the movie. I had forgotten Dustin Hoffman plays Greg's dad. That was perfect, I don't know why but pitting Hoffman against DeNiro was sheer genius. It was like the two dad's on Dharma & Greg - so different. We thought it was quite funny that the two mom's got along well, almost too well if you get my meaning. Who knew Streisand still had it in her!

The football game - hilarious. The cat-dog chase - funny. Your cat knows how to flush the toilet? LOL

Glad we watched it now!

Mary

PS - I thought Dustin Hoffman's character, Bernie was going to reveal he was the 15 year old kid's dad. Making Greg his half-brother. Go figure, had that wrong!
