Update from yesterday :)

#1 Postby Josephine96 » Tue Jun 07, 2005 5:06 pm

I have an update from the thread I started yesterday..

I saw this girl at work today.. {the 1 I have a crush on apparently} and flat out asked her if 1 night I could stay late {since I get off at 5 and that's when she goes to lunch} and treat her to a meal.. I told her.. no pressure.. just that I felt like I wanted too..

She accepted.. So.. 1 day.. I'll go ahead and fulfill my promise..

If any of you are curious as to who she is or what she does in the store or whatever.. feel free to ask..

I know this wasn't a life altering decision lol so I don't know why I tended to treat it that way..

:) I'm actually pretty happy now..

I've also kinda noticed something.. In the almost 8 months I've been at Wally World.. My store tends to bloom with romance all over the place lol.. You hear stories of who is dating who or who likes who or whatever lol It's kinda funny

We only run as fast as we want to, which sometimes is not running at all

Read an article somewhere where Wally World was becoming the new Singles meeting place vis-a-vis Singles Bars.

It's happening in Germany.. and they are experimenting in China, the Islands and Puerto Rico..

What happens.. is that they have a "Singles Shopping Night" on Friday nights.. Single customers get bows placed on their buggies.. in hopes of getting a match.

Those Wal Marts' also sell things for dates in their action alley's on Friday nights {whine, chocolate and probably other things I'm sure} lol

I heard about it from a morning meeting back in April.. and they said they may actually consider expanding and experimenting the concept in the US lol

Back to the current issue lol..

I have just thought of something.. I'm going to have to possibly ask my boss whether she can allow my lady friend to go to lunch at 5.. the day I decide to treat her..

Here's why.. Her and I both have the same boss. My friend though {because she's a cashier} gets sent to lunch early almost every day because the csm's want most of the best cashiers on the floor during the evening rush..

Seems to be so many equations in this 1 thing. lol

Don't think too much into it! Again, it is JUST a possible relationship. How improtant is that? At work, I work. I work in a grocery store, on the front. Sometimes my female co-workers act like they want to get to know me more. However, I am being paid by my company to work, NOT socialize, so I just blow them off!

Don't let this lady interfer with your job performance either.

Good point Weather Guy.. and I also know not to let the girl interfere with my work performance..

I work too hard to let someone of the opposite sex influence how I perform on the job..

I do, too. In fact, I work too hard to let ANY person influence my performance.

At times, I get into a groove sometimes. The management/CSMs have to actually tell me to SLOW down at times! LOL Of course, they would do it more if they weren't keeping the other co-workers on task. LOL
