Apparently I can't sneak by this year either! Seems as though I am always getting older while Storm2k's members get younger!
Thanks so much for the good wishes....from my extended family here at S2k, When one is recognized and celebrated by his peers, it is among the highest compliments that can be paid. I am humbled by your friendship and thoughtfulness.
Among the nicest gifts I could receive this birthday week was the following message from the Director of Planning for the City of Scottsdale. After a particularly grueling and potentially volatile 4 hour Planning Commission meeting this week (one in which for the first time ever I actually had an armed policeman stand outside the bathroom while I took a potty break!), I had the following email sent to me early the next morning.
"You are always very supportive, and I really appreciate that. Kroy (the top brass in Planning) jotted down a note as you were speaking last night, and referring to you it said "He is a shining example of why we do this job!". I couldn't agree more."
I'm not always shining, but I'll continue to enjoy your company.
Thanks again everyone. It means a lot to me (as Poppysky reaches for a tissue).

And what's the chance someday Wx247 that we might sit on the front porch together and chat about things done...and not done. And things still to BE done. I'd enjoy that with you sir!
Would be nice if Rhonda Vincent could stop by and sing a tune for the two of us just after dinner.
