Firefighter's Funeral Held Nearly Four Years After 9/11

NEW YORK -- New York has had another funeral for a firefighter killed at the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001.

Saturday's service was for Keithroy Maynard, who followed his father into the fire department.

A service was held for Maynard a few weeks after the attacks. But the family only recently decided that enough of his remains had been identified to hold a formal funeral.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg attended the funeral, even though Saturday was also his daughter's wedding day.

Hundreds of firefighters stood in full dress uniform under an unforgiving June sun as a fire truck carrying Maynard's remains passed by.

A total of 343 firefighters were killed at Ground Zero.

I can't believe it's been almost 4 years. Still feels like yesterday... still remember the first I heard about it, rushing to the TV(I wasn't into world events then, but I've been hooked ever since).
