Two Heat-Related Deaths in Harris County (Houston)

#1 Postby southerngale » Wed Jun 04, 2003 2:01 pm

(Houston-AP) -- Harris County officials today reported the county's first two heat-related deaths of the year.

The medical examiner's office reports one involved a 61-year-old man who was fatally stricken while mowing a lawn. The other was a 20-year-old woman who collapsed while walking in the heat.

Health officials advice people of all ages to drink plenty of water to help the body better regulate its temperature and prevent heat stroke.
