Is Hillary a liar??

I know...stupid question. If you caught O'reillys' Talking points memo last night, you might have a hard time defending Miss Hillary, and an even harder time ever considering her for the position of President of the USA.

Here it is:

Some viewers are angry about all the publicity Mrs. Clinton is getting over a new book. Those who like her say there's too much criticism, those who dislike her say she's getting too much attention.

But this is an important story because Senator Clinton is the most powerful Democrat in the country right now, and is very hard to define because she's so guarded about everything. It's not like the press has access to Hillary Clinton. We don't. She answers to no one.

So, when she writes a book, it is fodder for the press, especially because there are doubts about the woman's honesty and because she may be elected president in five years. Hillary Clinton claims to have been shocked when her husband admitted the Lewinsky episode. She paints herself as a betrayed wife and a victim of Bill Clinton's lies and deceits. But just one day before Senator Clinton says her husband confessed, a front page New York Times headline glared, "President Weighs Admitting He Had Sexual Contacts". In the following article, this statement, "President Clinton has had extensive discussions with his inner circle about a strategy of acknowledging to a grand jury that he had intimate sexual encounters with Monica S. Lewinsky."

Surely Mrs. Clinton would have been alerted to that article. So, it's kind of hard to imagine her being awakened by her husband a day later and her being shocked. Also, the dress scandal had been in out public for months. So, come on, who is shocking whom here?

This story is not important on its own. Who cares what goes on within the Clinton marriage. I don't. But it speaks to honesty. You remember that Senator Clinton testified she did not remember key elements of the Whitewater mess or the Travelgate debacle, yet she has enough to recall to put out a 500-page book.

An argument is being made that Senator Clinton's personal pain could have caused her to go into denial. But again, denial and shock are two different things. By writing, "I could hardly breathe. Gulping for air, I started crying and yelling at him. What do you mean? What are you saying?", Mrs. Clinton is giving impression she was totally in the dark. That is flat out impossible.

So, once again, Talking Points must conclude that Senator Clinton is not a truthful person. I could be wrong. I can't read minds. I simply know that I want the President of the United States, whoever it is, to be an honest person. And so should all-Americans.

C'mon...everybody lies, ESPECIALLY politicians, both Republican and Democrat. Don't blow it out of proportion.

right...everybody lies, but nobody does it better, and without a shred of regret than Hillary and Bill. Both are proven liars and have done it while under oath! They should both be in jail!

"Who cares what goes on within the Clinton marriage. I don't". That whole mess should've been kept between the two of them to begin with. It's not like Biil hadn't had a roving eye prior to becoming a President and Hillary probably shouldn't have been surprised. Perhaps she was surprised at his stupidity for being caught while being President, but, I really didn't need to know all of the sordid details either. There will be plenty more down the line, no matter what party affiliation that we will hear about this happening - please, spare me the details!

Who cares? No one is perfect. Everyone is so quick to want to point out someone elses flaws. We all have skeletons in our closet. Don't we???
I'm not buying her book anyway.

Wrong Steph. What Bill Clinton did was lie under oath. Period! This was the Leader of our Country you are talking about. Talking to heads of State concerning National Interest, while receiving sexual favors under his desk, no matter how you want to argue it, IS important. We were paying his salary, therefore, just like any other puplic servant, what they do on the job IS our business. They work for us!

My main concern is why this is still a big issue so long after the fact. It is still topic of many conversations and is being rehashed by the press. Personally, I think Hillar is probably not telling the truth, but you know what?? I don't care about Monica anymore...old news. All the time that O'Reilly, Crossfire, Dayside w/Linda Vester, Scarborough Country, etc. spend discussing this issue, we could be talking about more important things.

No... I was thinking we could spend more time on other stories (besides the Laci Peterson story... getting tremendous airtime).

For example, I would like to know more about what progress we are making in Iraq. Also, Missouri is facing a government shut-down if something doesn't happen in this special session. The governor vetoed the Republican controlled Congress's budget. Neither side is budging... Yesterday, capital police were called in... you should have seen the images... this is a big deal and I am sure Missouri is not the only state facing this kind of problem (which I blame on both the gov. and the Congress).

There is so much news... I think we need to move on from the Clinton era. Let us focus on the Bush administration and his policies, which for the most part, I think have been beneficial. We need to stop living in the past.

wx... this Hillary thing is a big news story TODAY and not a thing of the past because of her new book coming out. She resurrected the past even though we had chosen to move on. Personally, I could careless if she wrote a book or not. I am not going to buy it. The media claims she is the most powerful, silent Democrat there is. Maybe so, but I do like the silent part of her, she needs to remain that way. As far as the powerful part, that is a matter of ones opinion.

I think that if weren't so busy wasting $40 million in taxpayer's money looking for skeletons to dig up, it wouldn't have even been brought to caught and he wouldn't have even had to worry about lying under oath. Neither would we for that matter.

There is a lot in this book according to Hillary, besides the affairS ( ) yet this is all we seemed to be focused on. If we were discussing why this book was written, which I feel is purely so that can she become a celebrity figure...which makes it easier for her to win any election she tries to run, it would be a more pertinent issue.

I guess there are many people who are in the mind-set of "let sleeping dogs lie" and "every body lies" but I happen to have a firm belief that when you are in the public spotlight and an elected official, you have a responsibilty to hold true to the proclaimed values and morals that you say you represent. We are talking about the PRESIDENT and his wife for gosh sakes! They DO have responsibilty to the American people! I understand that politicians lie and that is a given, but I ask you, why do we find it so forgivable?? These are the people we give the power to! Yet we complain when our country is in dire straights? How dare we complain when we accept lies, (under OATH!!) adultry,immoral and unethical actions?

Ruddy to Expose Hillary Book on MSNBC's 'Scarborough Country'

NewsMax.com CEO Christopher Ruddy, who topped Hillary Clinton's enemies list when she reigned at the White House, will be discussing her controversial new memoir "Living History" tonight on MSNBC's "Scarborough Country."

Look for Scarborough to grill Ruddy on the truth behind Mrs. Clinton's Monicagate claims, including her controversial contention that she believed her husband's denials until just before he testified to the grand jury.

Then there's the account from Sidney Blumenthal, who says he heard the former first couple "bantering" back and forth as if "they were still working as a team" at a time when Hillary claims she was "barely speaking" to Bill.

For the answers to the questions Barbara Walters dared not ask Hillary, tune into "Scarborough Country" tonight on MSNBC, 10 p.m. ET, repeated at 1 a.m and 4 a.m. ET.

Steph... Clinton was NOT an ordinary liar and cheater. He was the President of the United States and chose to lie under oath before a grand jury. Comparing him to the normal John Doe should not be the case here. He should have done the right thing and told the truth. The normal adulterer is not the President.
