Dedicated Teacher

#1 Postby beachbum_al » Tue Aug 09, 2005 9:54 pm

First day of school and dd was sick at school. Tonight I got a call from dd teacher to see how she was. And she even wanted to talk to her. Now that is a dedicated teacher. First day of school, tired, and she takes the time out to call one of her students who got sick today. I can't even begin to describe how much my daughter love hearing from her teacher. And it made my day too!

We have had 2 teachers like that. One of them was my daughters 3rd grade teacher. My daughter passed out first thing in the morning the 2nd day of 3rd grade  , the teacher called that night and spoke with me several times afterward to make sure she was ok and to reassure me that it was not unheard of in children that age.

The other was a 4th grade teacher that 2 of my daughters have had, she calls every child in her class the evening of the first day of school to tell them how great it was to meet them and to compliment the summer work that they brought to class that day.
