Local News Story ...

North Charleston ...a First Federal Bank was robbed yesterday ... right across the street from the police station ...

Unfortunately, the robbers got away ...

The most important thing I learned from studying criminal behavior (and having been involved VERY up-close and personally with them as a patrolman) is that IF someone wants something badly enough, they will get it.

The old police adage, "Locks are meant to keep HONEST people out" has a much more far-reaching message to impart than the wording conveys on the surface. :x

It usually doesn't pay to embarass the police. It's one guaranteed way of getting and leeping their attention. Not good if you're a bad guy! ;-)

The thing is, the Police can't watch everything all the time. They have much more to do than sit and stare at the bank waiting for it to be robbed.

It is a shame it happened, but they will be caught.

Bank robbery just doesn't make sense to me. Most bank branches keep less than 100,000 dollars on hand with the typical bank robber getting less than 10,000. With the vast majority gettin caught, the risk / reward formula just isn't there.
