Three Months Have Passed...A Testimonial

#1 Postby azskyman » Sun Jun 15, 2003 9:52 pm

Sunday night, and the new work week is just a few hours away. The clock stops for nothing...and it reminds us often of how important every day really is.

Three months have passed since Miss Mary and her comrades convinced me to make the switch to Storm2k. I was reluctant, but I was also immediately impressed by the professional presentation Storm2k had assembled in such a short time.

My entire life has afforded me the chance to visit with many great weather storytellers. I met up with weather author David Ludlum at a private gathering in Westwood, New Jersey, back in 1983. Over corned beef and cabbage, we chatted about storms and Weatherwise magazine and the many contributions he had made over the years....and what he had for a vision in the years ahead.

And for the years that have followed, I have met dozens of weather wizards, and hundreds of weather worshippers, and I have worked to encourage friendships under many different umbrellas.

My fascination with the skies are as passionate as they have ever been...but my interest has evolved.

I have discovered something about myself during my time online...and my time at Storm2k. While I've been solicited to consider other weather organizations on the web, I find Storm2k to be one that is not only about weather itself, but more importantly about the people who enjoy and are fascinated by weather.

And it is the "people perspective" of weather that finds me very glad I am part of the Storm2k pages.

I look forward to my next three months and beyond....hope we learn more about each other and more from each other...just as we have during my first 90 days.

Thanks Storm2k. A special thanks to Miss Mary, Pojo, Streetsoldier, Ticka1, Arizwx, Angelheart, Pawlee, VBHoutex, azsnowman, Raine, Skywatch, PBurgh, and Stephanie, Furluvcats, and TLC (I'm sure I forgot several of you...my apologies) for your longtime encouragement and friendship.

I consider those friendships as sacred. I look forward to growing many new ones who have just stepped into my life here.

Combined with the dozens and dozens of weather friends I have made elsewhere under the skies above, I feel very very blessed indeed.

Steve >>>Three months have passed since Miss Mary and her comrades convinced me to make the switch to Storm2k.<<<

I have conrades?!!! LOL Miss Mary and her comrades......hey we could start a new rock group? Whadda think?

Seriously though, thanks Steve for all the nice compliments. Appreciate it more than you can know. And like you, I treasure my wx friends (but I know you didn't say it like that) very much! We've really become quite a family of sorts. I was going thru withdrawals today when the site was down....:-) Well, just a little.

Finally, you really do add a certain quality around here Steve so it's high time we all say - WE APPRECIATE YOU!!! I enjoy your topics and replies, very insightful and uplifting. I knew you'd be perfect for Storm2K and I wouldn't quit pestering you until you joined!

Okay getting pretty sappy around.....gonna need a tissue at this rate. I'll stop!

I consider all of you my "extended family". We are so happy that you are here Poppysky! I'm so glad that the door to Storm2k opened when the TWC door was closing in February. I just moved on to bigger and better things and met more interesting, caring, special people!

LoL, I gotta say - everyone here has their own unique
personality, and, we all manage to still have a great time
with each other! I know that I couldn't find a better "home"
anywhere else. I even wonder what you folks are chatting
about while I'm at work or driving home....jeez, just like
family, worrying about who's doing what...that's what friends
are all about, eh?

BTW - thanks, Josh - you're one of my "best-est" buddies!) :D
