#1 Postby azsnowman » Sat Sep 17, 2005 5:35 pm

WELL....it's OVER, my first year AND my A.A.S in Criminal Investigations is OVER 8-)

I just finished my final exam "WHEW!" I scored a "97%" on it for a FINAL GRADE of 98.5 for the class, THIS should put me at 3.9 for the ENTIRE CLASS 8-)

AND....the news JUST keeps getting better, sorry, I'm VERY, VERY JAZZED at the moment!! We (Michelle and I) worked the annual Fall Festival Parade today, WELL....before the parade, we had a briefing on who was working where etc. AFTER the parade briefing, the commander made the OFFICAL ANNOUNCEMENT that yours TRULY is NOW a FULL TIME Investigator for the Pinetop Lakeside PD 8-) 8-) 8-) I've been off patrol for a few months now, reserve status and working Criminal Investigations on a "as needed" bases but NOW....I'm FULL time with FULL bennys!! NO MORE PATROL, EVER!!!

WHEW....it's time to CELEBRATE the JOB AND finishing SCHOOL!!!

Dennis,

Congratulations! Remember that you're never "done"...I've been following law enforcement, criminal jurisprudence and new methodology/court changes for 30+ years, and there's always something you'll need to know.

But there's no other vocation like it. :larrow:

LOL! Guess I should have said "I'm done for 3 weeks!" then it's on to the Bachelors program.....and yes, your right, there's ALWAYS new laws, new training techniques that change every single day!

Congrats Dennis! That's great news. I know a REAL CSI!!!

Haven't asked for a while, but what ever happened with your business there. Do you still have it? Did you sell it? Or are you just continuing to work it in the background?

I know it wasn't that long ago that your business was doing very well too.

Congratulations again!

Thanks gang! Steve, Bill.....we still have the business, when time allows, I work the business but it's Michelle that has taken the "Bull by the horns" and keeps it running like a clock!! We've have 2 part time employees that work during the busy season (32 hours a week) and then back off to 16 hours a week during the slow season, which BTW has just kicked in....we had a "killing" frost the other night and things have REALLY slowed down!

BTW....if your wondering HOW I got my A.A.S. in 1 year and I'll have my Bach Degree in 2 years........this is a HIGHLY accelerated course of study  I don't get breaks, spring, summer, holidays etc.......it's 24/7's of school.......it's bust butt work but a VERY GOOD system! The SCARY part is, even with this being an accelerated course, I RETAINED a "LOT!"

Dennis,

Yesterday coming home from my volunteer job with my Dad on Six Forks Rd. in Raleigh...I saw a Crime Scene Investigation SUV as we were stopped in traffic! :)
