Hi Dennis,
I would love to have that photo for my computer wall paper! We never get color like that on trees here in FL. Fall color here is very subtle and you really have to know where to look to see it.

You can Daylilly, put your cursor over the photo, a little tool box should show up, click on the floppy disk icon to save it, then right click for "set as desktop background!"

What a beautiful photo. Again I am a true Floridan born and raised, and it looks about the same here all year, as far as trees go. So it is a joy to see such color.

Ya know I kept bypassing this thread thinking it was about protecting your eyes even in fall.  I am glad I opened it. If you have anymore photos of the colors please post them I would love to see them.

Absolute treasure. Don't ever let anyone talk you away from such places. How refreshing it must be there, and such a difference from "Green Heck" as myself and other mountaineers-at-heart call the Sunshine State.

Urrrg.

Monday a.m., as Wilma was moving off of the east coast, I went outside. Strong wind and very cold wind and rain! Couldn't believe that the day could feel so "fall" yet be having a tropical event. It was pretty strange.

Today is cool for here, with that blue sky and hint of crispness that mostly reminds us of what is going on in other places.

I envy you folks, and I hope you all never lose those places.

We have one of those in our yard, and it's already blazing up a bright yellow flash (for about a week, then the leaves are all OVER the place).

Otown, ask and ye shall receive! This is my FAVORITE area to visit in the Autumn, well, ANYTIME! This road leads down to Paradise Creek on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation, elevation 9700' ain't it PURRRTY?!

Hurricat, now you see why I've lived here off and on for 39 years now, I wouldn't move for ALL the tea in China (maybe for all the oil in the Middle East! )

Enjoy!

Wow! Thanks, it is very purrrty. I think I like that one better than the first. That road looks so inviting, makes me want to take a walk down to paradise creek. Really lovley. One day we will make it to the mountains, the old man is always wanting to go, but I love the beach and the whole island atmosphere and we end up in the keys or Sanibel or something like that. His grandma had a house in Georgia in the mountains he visited all the time as a kid, he really misses it. But we want to go when the leaves are changing and ya know it varies year to year right? Within a few weeks. Hard to plan on something when you don't even know when its gonna happen. LOL. Anyways thanks for sharing another beautiful photo.

Dennis ,
I saved that picture also, I hope you don't mind. I titled it Road To Paradise Creek, AZ. We have had what the weather man calls Dec weather here in Oct after Wilma came thru. I wore a jacket this morning for the first time out on crossing duty. I took yesterday off due to having a Dr. appointment in the middle of the day and would not get back in time for afternoon crossing and it is was very cool so I wore a jacket too.

Aspen are beautiful! I love the way the leaves "rustle" in the breeze. Thanks for sharing Dennis!
