Walmart

#1 Postby Lindaloo » Thu Nov 03, 2005 10:20 pm

To all those who bash Walmart then take a look at the pics below. They brought in truck load after truck load of FREE hurricane supplies to Pascagoula. Food, water, clothing, diapers, baby food. You name it, they brought it.

Umm, when did this happen? Two years ago when I worked at Target there were S.Army people at BOTH entrances - I know because I was a cart attendant and I wanted to shove those bells where the sun don't shine! ;)

I just know that I've read both here last year...not going to take the time for a scout-down from the burial heap  ...and in the news headlines about Target being Anti-Salvation Army! :larrow:

Makes sense now - just read last xmas was the first year they didn't do it. They weren't going to let anyone solicit their guests anymore, not even SA folks.

But back to topic, good to see WalMart steppin' in down there. Still not gonna shop there ever again, though. Buy local, think global!

Go wal-mart, go wal-mart. :hoola:
That is awesome!! All other major chains should follow suit.
I always liked Wal-mart, just wish they would open one a little closer to me. :D

I have to admit, as much as I dislike Walmart for the their hiring practices and employee relations they did a WONDERFUL job of stepping up to the plate  That's "ONE" thing that I can say about them, when ever there's a disaster, they ARE "Johnny on the SPOT".......they did the same thing here 3 years ago with the fire, they supplied TRUCK Loads of water, Gatoraide, food etc for ALL the firefighters and when they found out how many people lost their homes, they supplied them with TONS of stuff.
