reuters.com

BERLIN (Reuters) - A German man drank too much, wet his bed and set fire to his apartment while trying to dry his bedding, police in the western town of Muelheim said Monday.

"He was too drunk to go to the toilet," said a police spokesman. "The next morning he put a switched-on hairdryer on the bed to dry it and left the apartment." When the 60-year-old returned, his home and belongings were in flames.

Firemen eventually put out the blaze.

lol - I keep thinking how AWFUL the place would have smelled if he had been able to dry the sheets WITHOUT burning the place down!!

Course, one of my friends here has a good story about drinking and, *ahem*, relieving himself :D (don't worry, k, I'm not gonna hang you out to dry!)

Having been sober for 24 years now, I still remember the advice I was given...

"One drink is too many, ten ain't enough."

LOL, yep! We had an elderly granny pop a streetlight and
hit a police cruiser, one night. She had just "sipped the suds"
off of her son's beer before pouring it out.

We had to draw the BA.

We hid behind the door and laughed 'til the tears flowed.

Yoda says, "Remember this, young sprouts...TWO is the
most common answer. This is not an answer of the Force."

OK, I made that up.
