What’s your favorite font?

#1 Postby whereverwx » Thu Nov 24, 2005 1:43 am

There are a lot of fonts out there. My favorites are the professional style ones. Lucida Sans, Arial, Microsoft Sans Serif, Gill Sans MT, and Tahoma are all really wonderful fonts to use when making documents in MS Word or even Notepad. They all look nice at size 9.5. I really don’t like expanding my font above size 12. Above that, it starts to look bubbly and less attractive, IMO.

I also enjoy very stylish, crazy, fun, and interesting fonts. Westminster, GreyHound Regular (downloaded), Japanese (downloaded), and Flame (downloaded) are all perfect examples. I try not to go too far in depth when I search for a font. Some are a little over the top, while others are just right.

It would be a toss-up between Irish Uncial Bold and Fraktur...over the years, my personal signature has taken on elements of both styles.

I tend to like the cursive styles. French ITC is one I use. I too like the creative styles as well. Depends on my mood to which one I use. 8-)

At work we use Arial 11 for all correspondence. Some documents get Times New Roman.

For my own stuff, I just stick with Arial.

I like Bookman. I also like some of the "handwriting" ones, but sometimes the spacing of those characters is a little goofy. I am a cartoonist, and am going to try to turn my own printing into a font. So far, the time has always been lacking.
