Weather Radar Software

#1 Postby StormScanWx » Mon Jan 09, 2006 10:49 pm

Hello,

I am not here to advertise or anything like that. All I am going to ask is do any of you here at Storm2K own the GRLevel3 software? I do, it is great. http://www.grlevelx.com

Yes. You can sometimes see me over on the AH or GR3 forums with the same name. It's a great piece of software if anyone is interested or looking into something like it. It's at least equal to, if not better than what you see on your local met's radar. It gets my full endorsement (if that counts for anything :D ).

Software for Macs?

#4 Postby tidesong » Fri Mar 31, 2006 12:14 pm

I'm wondering if anyone knows of any similar software for Macs? I've been looking around but haven't found anything quite up to this level. I really don't want to break down and put together a PC ;)

Yes, I have the free trial, and once I get enough money I plan to buy it...I hate looking at the un-smoothed radar images now...

My new computer supports the smoothing. It looks awesome. Here are a couple of sample images with the smoothing enabled:

Cool images, once you purchase the software you can download the 1.1 version with tons of new features, like 2 and 4 panel windows, smooth zooming, dynamic placefiles that support near real-time lightning (updates every ~2 min.)
