Prayers please!!!!-Thank you He's Home!!

#1 Postby sweetpea » Mon Jan 23, 2006 1:53 pm

I have never asked for prayers before. But I am very worried on this one. My 5 year old nephew is in the hospital with pnuemonia. But the doctors are concerned because his neck and back are swollen. He has air bubbles in his lungs and chest that aren't being released. I am here in Florida and he is in Michigan, so it is killing me that I can't be there. I can't have children so he is like our child. (hubby and I) Thank you.

Sweetpea, your nephew will be fine, it will take awhile for him to get better, but trust me he will be fine. With some antibiotics, nebulizers and other medication he will do fine. I will pray though, because I know how you feel been there done that and still going through it. My baby has bacteremia, double ear infection and bronchitis.

Thanks for the prayers. I was just able to talk to him. He was hard to understand couldn't hear him very well. Spoke to my SIL she said he is doing ok, they are giving him all kinds of anitbiotics. She said his neck is swollen down to his collarbone and his left breastplate is bulging. He also has a couple on his back. They are all air pockets. He did want to know if I was coming from Florida to see him. Kids sure know how to twist your heart.

My nephews' name is Louis but we call him BooBoo. I just spoke to my SIL, she said he seems to be doing better but the doctors are concerned about his lungs. It seems like every time he has a bad coughing spell, he is releasing air from his lungs (from what I gather he has little holes in his lungs fromthe bad coughing) into his body and that explains why he has air pockets thruout his body. I talked to him he is staying busy playing Nintendo, he just told me I couldn't play with him because it would be to hard for me. I have a couple of plane tickets on stand by if his lungs keep getting worse. He keeps asking if my hubby and I are going to come. Thank you everyone for the prayers. I know they are definitely helping.

Does anyone know how air can get from his lungs into other parts of his body? that sounds really odd to me.
