Ready for $262/barrel oil?
Moderator: S2k Moderators
whoever released those numbers needs to learn about precision, significant digits, rounding, and accuracy of assumptions. What ever assumptions are plugged into the analysis should be evaluated as far as their likely accuracy. Saying $262 turns me off. I'd pay more attention if they said $250 to $300 a barrel. I would probably come up with $263 in my own analysis. Who knows, it might be $264

Do you guys know what over $200/barrel would mean at the pump. If you did, then you would think otherwise. Coriolis, when say "I would probably come up with $263 in my own analysis," but yet you berate what is written. YOUR OWN ANALYSIS IS NOT THAT FAR OFF FROM WHAT THEY WROTE.
, BUT YET YOUR TURNED OFF FROM WHAT THEY WROTE.

Aw c'mon, I was being funny. I am not inclined to do my own analysis. False precision is a pet peeve of mine. High gas prices is another.
OK?

Yeah, I think you are probably right on target with your assumption.
