Very LONG, VERY stressful night, "FIRE!"

#1 Postby azsnowman » Sat Feb 18, 2006 12:19 pm

I can honestly say, last night was the LONGEST, most STRESSFUL nights I've had since my fathers passing last week at this time.

We have a NEW fire dubbed the "Mogollon Fire"....burning, as the crow flys from my house LESS than 3/4 mile  Got the call out at 2000hrs last night to work road blocks and start the pre evacuation notices door to door. It was contained at 2218 hrs. last night HOWEVER, the winds cranked up to 40-45 mph and in less than 1/2 hour it jumped the containment lines and started UPSLOPE along the Mogollon Rim.

Please pray that the fire fighters get THIS one OUT and in a HURRY........

It's bedtime

Dennis

Dennis...whats the status on your fire? Hopefully you got some of this cold, rain/ snow we got this weekend...our mountains sure needed it, and yours definitely do to.

I did not know your father passed away last week. I'm so sorry Dennis. God Bless you. Write me if ya need me (hugs).

Hi folks!

WELL.......apparently they got the upper hand on the Mogollon Fire, no news is GOOD news in this case :ggreen: But I fear TODAY will be the DAY for the BIG ONE, I've got that funny feeling in my bones AND with today being a holiday, we've got a LOT of people up here WHY? I have NO IDEA, there's no skiing, no sledding, no backpacking, no hiking allowed in the National Forests.

Furry, thanks! Yesterday, Sunday, was a BAD, BAD day for me.......Michelle and I ALWAYS used to visit my father on Sunday afternoons and drink a few brews with him.........last Sunday I was occupied with the Advanced Weapons Training, yesterday, all I did was sit around and watch movies due to the weather (WIND :grr: ) and I REALLY got down in a FUNK......but today's a little brighter!
