CBS Movie-"Time Bomb"

#1 Postby LaPlaceFF » Sun Mar 19, 2006 11:48 pm

David Arquette and Golden Globe winner Angela Bassett star in this suspenseful thriller about a Department of Homeland Security agent who races against time to save his family and thousands of innocent spectators from a football stadium rigged with explosives.

Agent Michael Bookman has been working long hours in his new job at the Department of Homeland Security and wants to spend some quality time with his wife and son. He arranges to meet them at a football game, but has to change plans when he is sent to diffuse a bomb rigged to explode in a local sports bar. Michael joins his fellow agent Douglas in a desperate attempt to save the people trapped inside.
But a massive explosion rocks the building before they can succeed.

Debris is still falling when the Undersecretary for Information Analysis and Infrastructure Protection calls to report another bomb-threat. An Al Qaeda terrorist faction has rigged a football stadium with deadly explosives, the same stadium where Michael's wife and son are waiting for him. The terrorists warn that any interruption to the game-play or attempts to evacuate the stadium will trigger detonation. Michael is in a tense a race against the game clock to uncover clues to the Terrorists identities and save his family and the spectators.

The thing that struck me funny was that one of the teams playing was the-get this-the defending Superbowl Champions-New Orleans

That's much similar to the 1995 thriller, "Sudden Death" where a group of terrorists hold a Vice-President and 17,000 others hostage (whether they know it or not) in a Hockey arena rigged with explosives on the 7th game of the Stanley Cup Finals.

Can anyone tell me how it ended? I fell asleep ten minutes before it ended. Was the shredded card left as a trail by the son or was it a wild goose chase? Was the lead bomb expert one of the terrorists?

All I saw was a guy strapped with bombs on himself. They got the trigger away from him and defused the bomb before he fell to his death. Washington beat the defending Super Bowl champions (haha) New Orleans.
