My 7-year old cousin made Gymnastics State Champion

#1 Postby cajungal » Mon Mar 27, 2006 9:03 pm

I am so proud of my little cousin Noah. He has been in gymnastics since he turned 3 years old. He is now 7 and the youngest on his gymnastics team. Yet, he wins first place in gymnastics all the time! He made state champions in Mandeville this past Saturday. My cousin is always on the road with him now. He has had meets all over Louisiana and some even in Galveston, Texas. His mom also competed in gymnastics when she was a kid and now is a coach at Noah's gym. I also was in gymnastics when I was a kid, but did not stay in it long enough to get really good. He hopes to make it to the olympics someday. Such a big dream for such a little kid! But, I know he will make it. I am extremly proud of him. You can see a picture of Noah on the Storm2K Home page in the gallery. Page 8. The picture was taken nearly a year ago. Easter Sunday 2005, but he still looks the same. His sisters Bella and Natalie are in the picture with me.

Yeah, I fully expect this kid to make it to the olympics. He starts future all stars this year which is the next step away before training to for the olympics. And he only turned 7 years old on December 3rd. I spent the whole day with him today. His best event is the rings. And he also does good on pommel horse. His mom is treating him to Chucky Cheese for making state champions. I will probably go with him when they go if I happen to be off work. Noah and I are really close, and I am so proud of him and hope he keeps up the good work!

That is really awesome cajungal. It may seem like a big dream for a little guy, but I think that is really great that he has goals already. And I am sure he will reach his goal. Congratulations to the little guy and I wish him luck in his future.

That is great. Keep us updated to his progress. Maybe someday you can assist your sister in coaching. It would be a fun family project.

I don't have a sister. I only have a brother. His mom is my first cousin. Not my sister.
