Describe Your Hair

#1 Postby Janice » Thu Apr 06, 2006 3:31 pm

Are you blond, redhead, brunette, etc,? Short or long, straight or curly. Are you getting it cut this summer or letting it grow. What famous person has a hairdo like yours?

I am letting my straight brown hair grow. Right now, I look like Buster Brown.

Brunette, short, straight in AZ, wavy in FL. I just cut it last month before we went on vacation. I doubt any famous person has my haircut....

LOL @ Alicia!

I had my hair cut like Dorothy Hamill's once! Yep, in 1977.

That's the only celeb hairstyle I've requested. Didn't last long, I preferred longer hair.

That Hamill haircut was wonderful! I LOVED it! I was a competitive swimmer and tennis player then as well as a rock climber. THe last thing I needed was long hair and that cut was perfect.

actually, now that i think about it, it's very similar to one style Julia Ormond used to wear(Smila's Sense of Snow era). I wish it made me look one tenth as good as it did her.

Yes, I think I had that once too. And, she is still wearing it.

Letting hair grow out is really a rough process. The in between stage is hard to style and work with.

I know, Dorothy Hamill looks great too! No one else could still pull off that hairstyle so well.

Of all the hairstyles that seem to come and go - pixie, shag, flipped up, perm, etc. - the one that I think is never out of style and timeless - the pageboy or bob haircut. It's just a classic. And many variations of it too.

Most days, I wear it brillo-pad style. Other days, I wear it bird's-nest style.

Today I'm wearing it bald with a side of peach fuzz.

Yes, Sharon Stone and Halley Berry are two that wore darling pixies. Those hairstyles will never go out.

Speaking of hairstyles, I wish they'd come up with one magazine, with REAL haircuts in them. I stand there in the grocery store, flipping thru mag after mag, hoping to find just one haircut that doesn't look like I'm going to a rock concert, or I'm in a band, or I'm a wacky hairdresser myself (pink hair), or I'm a teenager!

I stand there and think - okay now, someone needs to start a brand new hairstyle magazine, for real people. I'd title it - Real Hairstyles, for Real People!

Okay, haircut rant done now.....LOL

OMG, my mom gave a me pixie hair do(n't) when I was about 5 or 6 in the 70's, and I hate looking at those pictures. I don't like them on girls at all. My mom loved it. And maybe why I my hair is soooo long now. It definitly needs a cut this summer, I haven't really cut it much in about 15 years. Time for a change.
