What are we afraid of?
I am new here, but I have been perusing through this site for some time. finally got the nerve to become a member not because of who I might meet or make friends with, but posts discussions on certain issues that are posted. I have noticed that certain threads that are posted become "gone" with no explanation as to why it was removed. If you think about it "what are we afraid of?" Isn't democracy and speech a part of what and who we are as people? I don't mean to bend or break any rules, but I have noticed a big brother approach to removal of threads that seem innocent, but look violent to others. Can someone explain why threads are moved and what type of things can be posted. I have also noticed silly threads being posted, but I for sure hope these are not the kinds of threads this site only wants. I can understand removing threads that pose a danger for their hot issues, but then again aren't we all adults here. Just my opinion and observations.

Private messages to the poster provide all the explanation that is needed. Most members here know how the board is moderated and know that we handle certain things privately.

I think you answered yourself there.

The forum rules:

Like it says, "If you don't read these it's your fault. They will be enforced by the staff."

No, actually we do have some young members here also. And this is a family-oriented site, not an adult-oriented (as in "mature content") site.
